Harimau Muda A ke Slovakia lagi
PASUKAN Harimau Muda A kendalian Ong Kim Swee akan sekali lagi menimba ilmu di Slovakia bagi mempersiapkan barisan muda negara ke arah mempertahankan pingat emas Sukan Sea 2011.
Keputusan dibuat Presiden Persatuan Bola Sepak Malaysia (FAM), Sultan Ahmad Shah, selepas mengadakan perbincangan dengan Kim Swee, kelmarin dan menimbang tiga pilihan yang ada iaitu sesi latihan bersama Kelab Divisyen Satu Inggeris, Cardiff, latihan dalam negara disusuli perlawanan persahabatan atau kembali ke Slovakia.
Seramai 19 pemain dan empat pegawai akan berlepas ke Slovakia, Rabu ini iaitu ketua jurulatih Kim Swee, penolong jurulatih, Hassan Sazali Mohd Waras, jurulatih penjaga gol, Yong Wai Hwang dan ahli fisioterapi, Mohd Nasrul Ahmad Tajuddin.
Enam pemain yang kini menjalani latihan bersama skuad senior – K Gurusamy, Mohd Muslim Ahmad, Mahali Jasuli, Gary Steven Robbat, Izzaq Faris Ramlan dan Mohd Fadhli Shas – akan menyertai Harimau Muda A selepas menamatkan perlawanan persahabatan dengan Oman di Doha, 3 September ini.
Dalam kenyataan dikeluarkan media FAM malam tadi, badan induk bola sepak itu menegaskan langkah menghantar pasukan ke Slovakia adalah tepat berlandaskan beberapa aspek iaitu skuad Harimau Muda A akan didedah kepada 12 perlawanan menentang kelab Divisyen Satu Liga Slovak yang kompetitif.
Selain itu ia menjadi tambahan kepada empat perlawanan persahabatan dengan empat pasukan iaitu Bawah 21 Austria, Poland, Republik Czech dan Hungary – dalam tempoh tiga bulan, suatu yang sukar dilepaskan kerana FAM sendiri nyata sukar mengatur empat perlawanan persahabatan bertaraf tinggi dalam tempoh itu, menurut kenyataan itu.
