Senarai Nama 25 Pemain ke Slovakia

Malam semalam ketua jurulatih Harimau Muda A, Ong Kim Swee mengumumkan senarai nama pemain yang akan bertolak ke Slovakia pada 1 September. Beberapa pemain dari Harimau Muda A dan B terpaksa diketepikan kerena kecederaan dan penurunan prestasi. Sasikumar, Zikri Elias, Syahid Zaidon dan Bashahrul masih dibelenggu kecederaan.

Daripada 25 orang, 9 pemain adalah dari Harimau Muda B yang beraksi pada Liga Perdana. Selebihnya adalah dari Skuad Harimau Muda A yang sebelum ini pernah berkampung di Slovakia dibawah bimbingan bekas jurulatih Harimau Muda A, Azraai Khor Abdullah.

Ong Kim Swee menegaskan tugasan di Slovakia kali ini bukan lagi sekadar pendedahan tetapi beliau menitik beratkan pencapaian pasukan. Menurutnya
“…pemain perlu menunjukkan prestasi terbaik kerana kita perlu memperbaiki keputusan permainan yang pernah kita lalui sebelum ini di Slovakia. Keputusan dari 12 perlawanan di sana nanti menceritakan segala-galanya, samada kita ada kemajuan atau tidak.”

Semua pihak menuntut sesuatu daripada kunjungan Skuad Harimau Muda kedua pada tahun 2010 ini. Keputusan yang cemerlang di Slovakia atau kejuaraan di kejohanan serantau seperti Newspaper Cup di Vietnam sudah tentu menjadi kayu ukur awal untuk skuad bawah 21 tahun kebangsaan ini.

Slovakia menjadi pentas antarabangsa terbaik untuk Ong Kim Swee membuktikan kebolehannya membimbing Skuad muda kebangsaan.
